Plugins

The plugins hierarchy defines which plugins are to be included in the current workspace. In the context of this hierarchy, plugins are JSON files featuring the description of a hierarchy such as a data mine, trading mine, trading engine, or trading system.

In the context of a community-driven project, a plugin is a device that serves to distribute community-generated intelligence. The project distributes several plugins contributed by the community.

Adding a Plugins Node

To add the plugins node, select Add Missing Items on the parent node menu.

Plugin Project

In the context of a multi-project platform, the plugin project node represents the project to which the defined plugins correspond to.

Adding a Plugin Project Node

To add the plugin project node, select Add Missing Projects on the parent node menu. The system adds a plugin project node for each project defined in the workspace.

Plugin Data Mines

The plugin data mines node features the definitions of data mines to be included as plugins in the current workspace.

To add the plugin data mines node, select Add Missing Items on the parent node menu.

Plugin File

A plugin file is the JSON file that constitutes the plugin. In the context of the plugins hierarchy, a plugin is the definition of a hierarchy.

Plugin files distributed with the system are stored in the corresponding folders on the following path: \Projects\[ProjectName]\Plugins\.

To create a plugin and make it available to the system you need to:

  1. Take a backup of the hierarchy.

  2. Place it in the proper folder of the path.

Adding a Plugin File Node

To add the plugin file node, select Add Missing Items on the parent node menu.

Plugin File Position

The position of the plugin file position node determines the position in the workspace on which the plugin hierarchy is placed.

To define where the hierarchy defined in a plugin file is positioned in the workspace, move the plugin file position node to the desired position in the workspace, and pin the node. Then, collapse the plugin file node so that the plugin file position node is no longer visible.
